Here's your crown, King Nothing!

AS1 is currently in the top ten SF/F listings for all books with a zero out of six stars feedback!

{cheers}

Well, that might not SOUND very good, but I have to remind the gentle reader of my philosophy: Ratings are meaningless unless they follow the right set of rules.  Like, for instance, I am willing to bet that every one of the 24 books on the distributor's site (lulu.com) has at least ONE rating generated by the author.  Naturally, that is a six-star rating and this puts my book - however deserving - at a respectable midlist.  Respectable, that is, if you are serious about your feedback being honest and if you aren't desperate enough to resort to such tactics in the first place.

Personally, to keep me confident I have the fond recollection of Kevin Siembieda  - upon hearing my sales totals for the first year in print, self-published and self-promoted, for ASCENT STAGE Vol. 1.  "That is incredible,"  he said.  He went on to say to the gathering of Self-Pub entrepreneurs last year, that most people undertaking the course of self publication could only dream of selling two hundred copies the first year out.

At any rate this and a lot of positive feedback by word of mouth among my SF readership keeps me here with a positive outlook.  If you are considering uprating my book, feel free - and until the rating system passes my personal veracity checks, I'm not really going to sweat it.
